The feeling of paint as it comes off the brush, the beauty of color as it is laid down — this is what charges me. I paint from life with oils in the alla-prima method, enamored by strokes of paint and the beauty of blends. Impacted by the beauty of the landscape, I am compelled to express what I see and feel with paint.

Born and raised in California, I reside in the San Francisco Bay Area city of Martinez. My subject matter comes from where my travels take me, but is largely from the local Bay Area (The Carquinez Strai, East Bay Hills and the California Coast).

To make and create has been the driving force in my life.

paint from your heart. ”

“It is never about THIS painting or the painter you are TODAY.
It is always about tomorrows painting
and how much better a painter you will be tomorrow,
having painted today regardless of the circumstances.”
